It becomes difficult and kind of awkward for girls to as their dads for certain things or discuss about personal issues like periods or pads or tampons. We all feel awkward at the mere sight of a television advertisement of these products. Asking your dad to bring tampons may appear like a simple request but the reality tells you it’s far from ‘simple’. This girl Tia Savva, went ahead and asked her dad to get sanitary towels for her while he was out, and what follows is a hilarious exchange of messages.
So Tia’s dad is at Tesco (a store) and she points out to him for her pads. Having found them he asks her for the brand, to which she replies ‘Always’ (a popular brand). Thus, begins the confusion. He is surprised at the price of the sanitary napkins. The next confusion begins when he has to make a choice from the ‘hundreds’ of them lying there.
The dad gets awkward when he finds a woman looking at him, it might be over whelming as he is not familiar to doing this. She tells him she needs the night time ones, with purple packaging, scented with wings. Wings end up confusing dad even more (these wings may not let her fly, but are sure as hell important). “Will I have to smell them?” he asks clearly unaware of anything about pads. She clears out saying they are mentioned on the packs. He gets embarrassed at the thought of having to smell the pads, and covers up by asking if she needs any cream.
Tia gets all snappy when her dad asks her about creams and tells him to get the required and come home. This daddy packs a punch when he says, “Satan needs feeding. I’ll bring you choc”. He exactly knows what girls need during periods.
So maybe he did not know about wings or was awkward while buying pads but after all he goes ahead to buy them for his daughter. Daddy cool, right?
