Heather Lindsay and Dave Mosher met at a dance class in 2015. And within just year Dave was ready to propose to the love of his life.
And he did,
but by then Heather was already diagnosed with breast cancer in December of 2015. Dave, the husband said that he wanted her to know that she was not going to go down this road alone. Lindsay admitted to one of the bridesmaids that she always thought that she wouldn’t make it till her wedding day.
Little did she know that she’d get to live her dream, even if it meant only for 18 hours.
The couple got married on 22nd December 2017 in the hospital chapel just 18 hours before she passed away.
“She’s getting to shout from the rooftops that she loves Dave and is able to say, ‘I’m his wife,’” Karas (one of the bridesmaids) told TV station WFSB.
The hospital staff was afraid that she would be too weak to be able to put on her gown and yet she did, and she lived out her dream. The bridesmaid recalls this moment by saying “That moment right there was like, ‘Death, I’m not afraid of you! I am so in love and I am going to celebrate that love right now,’”
Her funeral was held on the day that the wedding was actually planned to take place.
Love Stories like these make us really believe in love, don’t they?
Love means taking each other in health and also, in sickness.
